    Snake Print Bodysuit & Stripes

Snake print and stripes? Yes! I really had fun with this one. I usually don’t put together looks like this but I figured it would be fun to create something cool and funky. I tend put my style in a box with clear boundaries; distinct do’s and don’ts. But it really is fun to let loose and color outside the lines sometimes. Polka Dot Blouse & Distressed Denim Shorts

This is my first style post since 2018. Yikes! I used to love style posts more than anything else on my blog. Then I had a baby and got a new body that I had no clue how to dress. It has taken me some time to regain my confidence and figure it all out. So here I am now giving style posts a new run as I continue figuring it out. (Its an ongoing journey, y’all.) Given our circumstances, I won’t be going anywhere any time soon but I’ll still be creating fresh, new looks for my own enjoyment and for the blog, of course. So here we have…

BLACK MOCK TURTLENECK + CAMEL SKIRT

Fall has arrived! I’m so happy! Bring on the warm tea, good books, s’mores, cozy blankets and of course, fall fashion! Fall is my favorite season to dress for. I’m so here for the suedes, velvets, and corduroys. It’s also the time of year that I feel inspired to add a little color to my ‘do. You can’t convince me that I’m not slaying Fall with this look. This outfit features the cutest zip front corduroy skirt and the perfect over the knee boot for every day wear. I’m also loving the mock turtleneck with quarter length sleeves to keep me from overheating while it’s still early in the season. As…

    VACATION STYLE ON A DIME

Inspired by the laid back beach vibes I knew I’d be feeling, I wanted to keep my style easy, breezy and, of course, inexpensive for my trip to Florida. A couple of days before the trip I went and picked up a few new pieces because who doesn’t like new clothes for vacay? I threw together this stylish look for just a few bucks using a few new things and a few old. Looking good while not breaking the bank is all about balance. I loved the classic black and white polka dot shorts with the vibrant pop of red on top. The shorts were on clearance and the…

ORANGE COLD SHOULDER TOP + JEANS

Summer is on and popping right now but I know it wont be long before the cold creeps in and this year I’m actually looking forward to fall. But before that happens I’ll be serving all the melanin I can in my cute summer pieces. I’ve had this top for a while and it’s still giving me life. I LOVE the color! The orange gives my skin a gorgeous glow! I love the tassle detail and the loose fit over my mum tum. Ha! This top will be in the wardrobe for many summers to come.   Top: Ross | Jeans: Old Navy | Shoes: Target

    PALAZZO PANTS + BLACK TANK

Don’t you love when you’re wearing an outfit that you feel amazing in? Thats how I feel wearing this. I’m not completely comfortable with my postpartum belly yet but these pants provide all the coverage I need to step out in confidence. Not to mention, they feel great on! The top is a simple and cute tank that can easily pair with almost any pair or pants. I’m ready for some spring fun in this outfit! Top: Buffalo Exchange | Pants: JC Penney | Shoes: DDs Discounts

    GRAY COLD SHOULDER DRESS

I decided to take a risk with this one, guys. I purchased this “dress” months ago and intended to wear it as a shirt. I actually did wear it as a shirt a few times and it never felt right. It was a tad too long so I bunched it up at the hips which was not at all flattering. I finally decided to just wear it as a dress. I kept telling myself it was going to be too short but then I said what the heck! Live a little! Show some leg! And that I did. I paired it with a heel that wasn’t too high so that…

    LACE BLOUSE + CHAMBRAY SHORTS

It’s not quite shorts weather yet but whatever! I’m ready! Whenever there’s a day that’s even slightly warm I’m reaching for the shorts and the stroller to spend the day outside with my baby. This winter has been so long and I’m just ready to get out and enjoy the sunshine. This outfit is great for a springtime stroll. It’s super comfortable (for playing with baby, of course). The lace top is feminine and breezy, perfect for both looking and feeling good, and I like that the shorts aren’t too short. It can sometimes be hard to find shorts that don’t aim to showcase those cheeks. As you can see,…

    MAUVE LACE DRESS

This dress stole my heart the moment I saw it. It’s romantic. It’s girly. It’s the perfect color. It has a loose, relaxed fit and shows off my toned legs that I happen to love right now. Everything about this dress feels right. It’s best to let a dress with this much detail be the star of the look so I styled it with a simple strappy sandal and plain hoop earrings. It’s perfect for a classy, intimate event. Dress: Target | Earrings: Local Beauty Supply Shop | Shoes: $10 Shoe Store (In Houson, TX)

CROC PRINT SWEATER + FRAYED DENIM

I thought spring had come early with the warm temperatures we got in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. Then came the cold front! Thats ok though. I’m just happy I was able to get out and shoot a few spring looks while the weather was nice. I love the spring. It feels like a fresh new start, which is exactly what I’ve been needing. I started my blog to share my style but there is so much more to me than that. Fashion will always be my first love but I’m a different person than I was 3 years ago. So I’ve decided to start anew and share not…
