GIRL’S NIGHT IN

Life can get so busy sometimes. And even with my small circle of friends, getting everyone together at one time can be a task in itself. I try to get my girlfriends together at least a few times a year to kick back and catch up. I usually see each of them individually but theres nothing like having everyone in the same room at the same time.

So, not long ago I planned my first girl’s night of the year and it was great! We all just sat around stuffing our faces with pizza, popcorn, and chocolate, sharing all the latest celebrity gossip, and sipping on fruity cocktails. You would have never known that nothing went as I had planned. Thats right! I almost called the whole thing off.

An hour before girl’s night began my card declined in the grocery store when I attempted to purchase food. My bank had for some reason had canceled my card and sent another. They had no explanation for why this was necessary. I only had $15 in cash on me so I left the store in a panic trying to figure out how to save girls night!

Thank God my husband was available to come to my rescue. As I rushed home to finish preparing he went out and picked up a pizza and drinks for us. I worked my magic and made it look like something special. It wasn’t what I wanted but girl’s night was saved! And it turned out pretty awesome nonetheless. Everyone had a blast.

I’m really looking forward to the next girl’s night. Whether we have a carryout pizza or the gourmet pizza I had planned to make, being together is really all that matters.
