FAMILY GETAWAY WITH AMAZING FRIENDS!

Having great friends is truly priceless. Positive people that build you up, want to see you happy, and appreciate you are hard to come by. I thank God that those kinds of people are in my life. Those are the people I love to spend time with and last week my family and I had the opportunity to do so.

A few months ago our friends Shaun and Jonathon invited us to vacation with them in Florida. I had been itching go on a family beach trip so we jumped at the opportunity. I’m so glad we went. We had thee best time!

It was our first ever family vacation with the baby. I was a little nervous about the road trip but super excited to take him to the beach, one of my favorite places! Can you believe that I grew up in Florida and not once did I ever go to the beach?! It wasn’t until I met Deji at 20 years old that I first set foot on a beach. I didn’t want my baby to wait that long before he experienced the crashing waves and sand between his toes because I knew he would love it.

We spent a week in Seaside, Florida just relaxing, eating, swimming, and bonding with our friends and their children. It was everything I needed. I’m just so grateful for them and so happy that they invited us to come along. It’s a joy to travel with people that you click with. If you’ve ever traveled in a group you know how sometimes you end up doing things you don’t want to do for the sake of others or you waste time waiting for people to get ready or decide what to eat etc. and then  subsequently get super annoyed to the point where you’re just ready for the trip to end. This is our second trip with Shaun and Jon and not once did we get that feeling. We would travel anywhere with them.
