Thanksgiving is next week and I’m so ready! I’m salivating just thinking about the spread. Greens, beans, potatoes, tomatoes, chicken, turkeys, rabbit. YOU NAME IT! I know y’all remember that.

Now of course, we’ve given thought to what’s on the menu but what about the table itself?

A great tablescape really goes a long way in setting the atmosphere for an event. In the past my table was always covered with food but I’ve learned that creating a neat assembly line in the kitchen leaves so much space at the table and makes the dining experience much more enjoyable.

It doesn’t have to cost a fortune to create a festive Thanksgiving table. For $20, I was able to create this awesome table setting and you can too! I got most of my supplies from the Dollar Tree and a few things from Walmart. The basket I’ve had for years, but I got it from Marshalls. Some of these items may already be in your backyard or around the house.

I simply filled the basket with faux moss and arranged a few leaves and nuts around the perimeter. I then trimmed the bristles of a pipe cleaner over the moss to add a little shimmer to tie in with my gold trimmed dishes. Next, I placed a small pumpkin that I spray painted white right in the center of the basket. Or you could just buy a white pumpkin. Lol.

I then used an old white bowl that I already had in the cupboard and placed it upside down in the center of the table and placed the basket on top. Depending on the shape of your bowl and how heavy your pumpkin is you may need to secure the basket to the bowl with a hot glue gun. I didn’t. On either side of the centerpiece I placed a few leaves, nuts and a candle.

That’s all there is to it! It only takes a few dollars, a few minutes and a little creativity to set a beautiful Thanksgiving table.
