    GRAY + WHITE STRIPED DRESS

Time is winding down and I can hardly wait to have this baby! I feel like my belly is stretched to the max but somehow my baby keeps finding ways to stretch me some more. My tummy is always itchy, my feet are always swollen and I’m always out of breath so you can only imagine how ready I am. I live in soft, stretchy dresses like this one and some sort of slip-on sneaker or velcro sandal. I want to be cute but I HAVE to be comfortable. This type of look is so necessary right now. Four weeks to go! Dress: Ross | Shoes: Levi’s | Purse: Forever…

    SHOWERING THE BABY

This month I was blessed to have 2 baby showers that were both amazing! I was very pleased with how beautifully everything came out for our woodlands themed shower. They were extremely stressful to plan and execute but in the end it was worth the smiles, the laughter, and the joy that filled our home on both occasions. My husband and I have wonderful people in our lives that are so excited about our new addition. The first shower was a bit more formal and structured. Most of my friends attended that one as well as a few older family members, old coworkers, and my mother-in-law flew in for it…

    CREAM OFF-THE-SHOULDER DRESS

I get so many compliments when I wear this dress. It’s easily one of my favorite maternity purchases! I’ve worn this dress to church, hanging out in the city with hubs, and I even wore it to my second baby shower. It’s so cute and feminine. I adore it. My due date is fast approaching so I don’t have much longer to wear it but it will definitely be saved in case I decide to do this pregnancy thing again. Dress: Ross | Shoes: Ross | Sunnies: H&M

    PINK FLORAL WRAP DRESS

The last few weeks have been a roller coaster. It has been almost a month since I last posted but it only feels like a few days. I ran into a few complications with the pregnancy so my mind has been on baby and my health. We are both well but I’ve had to make some tough lifestyle changes. I’m doing my best to remain calm and as cool as a cucumber. Hopefully it’s coming through in these photos. One thing’s for sure though, I am so looking forward to the end of this pregnancy! WHITE TEE + BLACK SLIP DRESS

“We like the breeze flow straight out of our lids. Them, they got moved by these hard-rock Brooklyn kids.” You’re probably like whaaaa? Those are lyrics from the song “Cool Like Dat”. I wont lie. I did my Googles for those. Like everyone else, I only know the chorus. This outfit, though.  Like the song, it’s so 90’s! I just need one of those stretchy chokers that were so cool back then. My little sister wore one well into the 2000’s! Ha! I’ll always be a sucker for a plain ol’ black and white minimalist look. Cause Im cool like dat. Im cool like dat. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEJI!

My hubby is becoming an old man, guys! Four days ago we celebrated his 33rd birthday. I know. I know. Thirty-three is not old but I like to tease him anyway. I had the hardest time planning for his big day. I didn’t want to have a typical birthday dinner because he’s not a typical guy. He loves being outdoors and he loves an adventure. I planned to have a surprise scavenger hunt but not enough people could make it. I wont lie, I was pretty bummed. Maybe the scavenger hunt will work out better next year. We had an intimate dinner instead and it still turned out…

    ARMY TEE + DISTRESSED SHORTS

We had some beautiful weather in the A this weekend! Perfect for getting out and walking around the city. I needed the exercise anyway. I’ve found it so hard to be motivated to exercise since I’ve been preggers. I’d much rather lay around and watch Youtube videos. So it was nice to get some fresh air and vitamin D. Not to mention, Atlanta is full is cool places to stop and pose for pictures. Top: Ross | Shorts: Ross | Purse: Forever 21 | Shoes: Adidas

    BEADED IVORY SKIRT

I can’t lie. I have been missing my old waistline lately. I have yet to buy any maternity clothes and 90% of my clothes don’t fit. Anything with elastic has now become my friend! Usually I wear this skirt right at my belly button but with baby on board I Steve Urkel it and pull it over the bump and under the boobies. For now it’s cute but in a few more weeks I’m sure it will be way too short and look way too ridiculous.

    A CELEBRATION OF LOVE

Last weekend Deji and I attended his cousin’s wedding and we had an awesome time! On Saturday we attended the Nigerian ceremony shown above and on Sunday, the white wedding (where I wore that beautiful floral dress). It had been a long time since I’ve had a reason to get all dolled up. I was excited to get glam and celebrate with family. It was so great to see everyone! The bride and groom were glowing and love was certainly in the air!

    FLORAL SPRING DRESS

Spring weddings are awesome! Especially when the weather is good. Last weekend the sun was shining bright, the birds were chirping and love was in the air as my husband’s cousin and his bride said “I do”. It was such a beautiful day and we had an incredible time! I felt fresh and springy in a floral dress that so cutely hugged my growing baby bump. I told the hubby I felt like I grew over the weekend and he said that he was thinking the same thing! I guess baby wanted to make his presence known for the whole family.  Dress: Ross | Shoes: $10 Shoe Store (in Houston,…
